Can you do some of your steps at a brisker pace? Walking briskly is great for your heart, lungs, circulatory system as well as your muscles, joints and generating that feel good factor! Try it 3 times over the fortnight.

Ideas and motivations

Why not warm up for 500 steps, then walk briskly for 500 steps, slower again for 500 and repeat alternately until the 4000 steps are done?

Use lamp posts as markers Don't want to keep counting? Use 2 or 3 lamp posts, trees or other landmarks as targets for your efforts

Vary the route Keep it interesting by changing where you walk

Challenge yourself to walk faster Can you complete the 4000 steps more quickly by the end of the festival fortnight?
