Walk Accumulator Challenge
Increase the length of the walk each day of the challenge by 500 steps of 5 minutes. Why not start with a walk of 10 minutes or about 1000 steps. Day 2 would be 15 minutes or 1500 steps and Day 3, 20 minutes and 2000 steps. So on your 10th accumulated walk of the Let's Walk Festival fortnight you'll end up walking 5500 steps, 2.75 miles and walking for an hour.

Local Interest Walk
Try going out for an hour's walk to discover more about where you live. Could you find 3 things to find out about when you get home? There's a lot out there, so why not do two of these discovery walks during the Let's Walk Festival fortnight.

Clock up 5,000 steps over the day on 10 out of 14 days of the Let's Walk Festival fortnight! Not all have to be achieved during the walk, but you'll definitely need to get out for a walk to hit this target.

3 Mile Weekend Walk
Why not try a longer weekend walk? Take the family out? Meet up with friends for a socially distant chat. Explore somewhere new or discover something closer to home. There are two weekends during the Festival. Try to do a 3 mile walk each weekend.

Car swap short walk
Could you walk to your local shop for those few essentials instead of driving? Most of us have a shop within 15 minutes walk of home. There and back and you've done a mile! Don't forget to take a bag and a face mask.

Green space activity walk
Give your walk to the local park an extra focus! Or focus on the trees, local gardens or hedges near you. Make it a 3000 step walk and make the most of it. 3000 steps is about 1.5 miles, or 30-45 minutes.

If you're working from home, why not plan a 30 minute walking meeting on the phone this week? If you're not working, perhaps you could phone a friend or family member for a catch up whilst on a walk. Either way, swap sitting down during the call for walking and talking!
